Tropical Storm Chris – Short lived Post Tropical by Thursday

Tropical Storm Chris is the 3rd tropical storm of 2012, and the 1st since the 2012 Hurricane season began on June 1st.

Tropical Storm Chris is not expected to strengthen much before becoming a post tropical cyclone sometime late Wednesday 6/20 or early Thursday 6/21 as he moves over cooler waters.

As of 11 PM Tuesday 6/19/2012, Tropical storm Chris was accelerating east / southeastward in the open Atlantic away form the east coast. Chris is not expected to be of any concern for the U.S. mainland.
