Hurricane Season Begins

Today is the start of Hurricane season and on cue we have something to watch. While this low pressure system is not expected to develop into anything tropical, it could bring rain to areas of the southeast. We need rain here in Georgia. Some areas more than others.

Looking at the Southeast Radar, already seeing some showers moving on shore from this system. At this early hour, the Jacksonville, FL Weather Forecast Office has issued a Special Marine Warning in their area. It shouldn’t last long, but expect more later as the system gets closer to land.
